When I was designing Interiority, space was at a premium–still is! In a pickle, I latched on to toy theater with a quickness. A part of this collection was developed into the puppet cast of the play. They were very good about showing me how they wanted to move, how they wanted to interact with each other, and where they wanted to be on stage. I learned a lot from these figures, the best lesson being that puppets do not have to be large or elaborate to tell the story. Every time I play with them, I think about making some larger pipe cleaner puppets. Well shall see what transpires…
