A few snaps of this process. The initial steps include cutting cardboard strips and reinforcing them with wire. These strips are then used to for the backpack to a person–the goal being to construct a backpack that will fit the greatest number of puppeteers. The aluminum is carefully bent, centimeter by centimeter to conform to the cardboard/wire pattern. A special shout out to Anna who constructed the mechanism that raises and lowers the fox hindquarters.
Now that the cardinal backpack is completed, the Cardinal body can be built around it.
